WHAT IS CIRNECA ETNEA?
The Etna Cirneco is an ancient dog breed—elegant yet playful—the only one native to the volcanic lands of Sicily, Italy. Just like my ancestors, who were born and raised at the foot of that very same volcano.
I learned about this breed through Katy and Livio, over dinner in Agrigento, Sicily, as they have Gerlando: a Cirneco mix. It struck me deeply because I love dogs and never imagined there was a breed so uniquely tied to the volcano. So much so that this breed is recognized as an intangible heritage of the island of Sicily. From that moment, through my connection to this land, the volcano, and my roots, I knew this name was meant for me and for this project.

A map can be much more than a guide: it can inspire, evoke emotions, and open new perspectives on a place. I create maps that combine technical accuracy with visual storytelling, designed for a variety of uses:
National Parks and Natural Areas
Interpretive maps for visitors, signage, and panels that connect people with the landscape.
Cities and Tourist Offices
Urban and tourist maps that make navigation easier and enhance the visitor experience.
Scientific and Educational Publications
Maps for books, papers, and journals, with clear information and careful aesthetics.
Active and Adventure Tourism
Trekking maps, mountain circuits, cycling routes, and outdoor trails that provide both safety and excitement.
Completed projects
Each piece is designed to be visually appealing and easy to read, without compromising technical accuracy: I work with digital elevation modeling, 3D topography, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to ensure reliable data. The maps are tailored to diverse audiences—from curious tourists to specialized researchers—and I always approach them with an interpretive perspective, because a good map doesn’t just guide: it tells the story of a place and makes it meaningful.
